I finally found a auto 97 tranny with 100k and I am getting it without the tcase. Using my 99 tcase would be fine right? 97-99 have the same ratios correct?

I am also going to order IPT end clutches and the Trans Lab shift kit. Also, what size tranny cooler should I order from IPT also? Thanks

I'm not sure 100% about the autos, but here is how you check transfer case compatibility on the 5 speeds (maybe this will help, I hope) :thumb:

Your t-case should work.

As far as coolers go, measure the area where you plan to install it and select the biggest one that will fit. If you click on any of the items on this page, the dimensions will be listed:
IPT Performance Transmissions Torque Converters and Transmission Parts for Ford, GM, Chrysler, and Import vehicles

PN 4588 usually works good in the stock location.

Thank's alot transdude. And ya, I plan on using the stock location for the cooler. Also, by anychance, are there any writeups or directions that you guys have on installing the end clutches/translab shift kit? I think my friend and I are going to tackle this one.

The main thing I needed to know is if the tcase would work. Mine has 73k on it, just the bellhousing on my auto is completely cracked across thanks to a not so bright friend.

Yes it does. I believe there the same either way. All in all, You cant use a 95-96 tcase with a 97-99 tranny, and u cant use a 95-96 tranny with a 97-99 tcase. So im good.
