Ever since I installed my kit, this has been happening, so I want to know if it is normal or if I messed up. When I used to put the car in drive with no shift kit, you wouldn't even notice anything. Now when you put it in drive with the shift kit, the car jerks kind of hard like its ready to go. Normal? Or Not?

Yes that is normal. My best friend has IPT's transmission and shift kit in his 98 GSX and the shift kit was installed by them and it does the exact same thing, especially if you are using the black spring...

HAVE FUN! :rocks:

Yep, I'm on the black spring:thumb: Great, that's a relief. I was hoping I didn't do something wrong. Finally I can rest assured.

that is normal. i noticed once i installed my hi-stall torque converter, it smoothed out that jerky feeling. ..even thru shifts.

to refresh my memory there was a black and a red spring for that spot correct? one a little stiffer than the other ?
