ok so heres the deal, i was driving yesterday and all of a sudden i get this really loud rattling noise. its coming from somewhere in the bottom end by the transfer case. it only rattles when im at idle or under about 5mph, or when im in park/neutral. but as soon as i take off and get about 5mph or so it goes away. now this rattle isnt like an exhaust rattle its somewhere inside the lower part of the engine. everything runs fine, no loss in power or anything. i dont know where to start. thanks

Well, I guess you'll have to jack up the car and get underneath there. We're not psychics you know! :D Sounds like your exhaust hitting your driveshaft. If that's what it is then you'll have to adjust the hangers by hand to make some clearance. Good luck.

Tow possiblilities. One your torque converter bolts can be loose if you changed it recently. It's important to locktite them. 2nd guess would be the inspection shield could be rattling. You can take it off. It's a few 10mm bolts and one 12mm. Take that off and see if the noise goes away. I had that problem before and no matter how I bent the plate it kept rattling until I removed it.
