auto to manual (should I go for it?)

I can get a 91 talon auto awd for 1100 bucks, i am building a 2.3stroker now and i can get a all the manual Conversion parts i need For around 500 bucks

Shifter Assembly
Shifter Boot
Shifter Cables
Cable Hold downs and Firewall Gasket
Brake and Clutch Pedal assembly
Clutch Master
Clutch Fluid Line Clutch Assembly
Flywheel
Flywheel to Crankshaft bolts
Manual Transmission
Clutch Slave

Would you guys do it? THe body is in pretty good shape, only a little rust (paint starting to bubble) But hey I have painted one DSM aready might as well do another.

My advice would be to get the a/t cause they are nice, I my self have had both manual and a/t dsm's and both have there ups and downs.
 
I personally have a a/t on my rs, its so slow I wish it had m/t for fun. But on something with more power, you need too worry more about driving then shifting :thumb:

odds are I am going to get it just because its only 1100 bucks but thanks for your input guys
 
i'm in the process of swaping my 2g from a a/t to m/t, I'm almost all the way done and getting excited to get it on the road. The swap really isn't to bad if you have all the parts. only really hacking you have to do is for the clutch cylnder on the firewall other than that everything else pretty much bolts right in.
 
i have both an A/T and a M/T. i was going to convert my 91 talon to a 5spd but i found a good deal on a 5spd Gsx. if you don't mind the work and can find a donor car i say go for it. it was nice having an a/t dsm for traffic but it's boring to drive when you wanna play. honestly it's all on what you wanna get out of your car. what are you goals? both a/t and m/t are good for drag racing with the right parts.
