Automatics And BOVS???

I Have A 95 Eagle Talon TSI FWD... Its An Automatic And Its Not Running At This Time Because Of A Spun Bearing But I Just Bought It And I Plan To Fix It Soon... Ive Never Heard A TSI Stock So I Dont Know What To Expect Outta This... Now The Real Question Is... If I Were To Put An AfterMarket BOV Like A TurboXS Would It Still Be As Loud As It Would Be On A Manual Because I Understand How They Work But I Just Know If It Will Build Enough Pressure To Blow Off... I Want It To Be Loud But Since You Cant Really Guide An Automatics RMPS I Think It Wouldnt Be That Loud.... Im A Newby To The Turbo World... First Turbo Car... Help Me Out KK

Having an auto will not affect the sound from the bov that mutch. I have an HKS SSQV on my manual and my friend has the same on his auto and they sound just alike. The only slight difference is when you let of the gas at low rpms in his and car the bov lets off a small flutter sound.

Well, do you lift to shift an automatic? Did you even think about this question before you posted it? If you no-lift a 5spd, do you get BOV?

Yes you can still hear the BOV when you let off the gas. But being A/T, that's obviously not as frequent as a M/T.
And please do us a favor and read through some existing threads before posting a question like this. I know the rules state not to respond with "use the search", but the least you could do is type with punctuation.

I Want It To Be Loud ..

Why? I frown at ricer talk. An automatic turbo DSM maintains boost while shifting unlike a manual car where you let off the gas and loose boost changing gears. Therefore, in essence, you will not "hear" the whoosh as frequently as you would like. I hope that's concise enough.

Wow just about every newbie dsmer wants to know these days is "will my BOV sound loud" ..If you bought the car just for the sound then you should ve saved your money and bought some POS car and buy one of those fake BOV sound devices off ebay because a DSM is worth and can be used for so much more than just a "cool" sound..

But to answer your question yes, you let off the gas you will hear it, the BOV will be louder at higher rpms when you let off the gas as to opposed to when at lower rpms its a little bit quieter, I would say its the same as a manual.
