anyone here run a Hallman Pro with stock T-25?.

i just got mine today and installed it according to vfaq. i am just curious, because i have to turn the knob all the way up to the end (clockwise) on the valve to get 16.5psi with the stock soft spring provided. i am just wondering if it's the same with you.

I don't have a t-25, i have a 14b, but the concept is still the same. My Hallman Pro brought the boost levels to 16 after approximately 2.5 turns, and i didn't need to go any higher. But i'm assuming it should go way further than 16.5 psi with the additional 5+ turns left. When i first got mine the spring was kinda bound up, and i had to crank it down and back it out a few times to get everything to settle where it's supposed to be, so that might be worth a shot. If that doesn't work, i'd say you got a faulty one and you should send it back to the shop you bought it. If they're reputable they should exchange it no problem. Good luck to ya,

i doubt there's anything wrong wtih the MBC tho. one thing i did notice is that when i back it all the way out for a test drive right after i just installed the kit. the boost was around 10-11psi. so i had to turn it clockwise several turns to get it all the way up to my desired 16.5 boost.

could it just be that the factory actuator is by default set to release the pressure to boost 10psi.

The factory actuator is indeed set that low. The reason why we get more boost when all is stock is the boost control solenoid, which bleeds some boost off to trick the wastegate actuator. Is your mbc bottomed out now, or does it have more room to go?

yeah ... it seems to hit the bottom already.

not that i need to or should get the boost any higher than 16.5... but i was just curious if the factory setting is set that low. because on hallman's instruction it does say that the soft spring offers about 5 psi more from the stock actuator setting. i still have the hard spring to play with if i want. but i guess i'll save it for later when i need to get to a higher boost.

I never gave the T-25 a chance on a MBC ;) , but I thought the factory actuator was 15 psi.....FP sells an upgrade to 17psi...so that means you're about right if it's claimed to be +2psi.
And don't with the T-25 it really depends at what time you look at the gauge. it drops off pretty easy and pretty fast.

I think it is about 10 full turns from left to right. on my t-25 i have it turned five full times and its set at about 15-16lbs and still has about five full turns after that. so you might have something wrong with you mbc.

The ball could not be seating right on the MBC, it is possible.....also check the wastegate flapper is closing all the way, when are you hitting spool?

how should the ball be seated. is there any way as the correct way? it just came as it was and in installed it. didn't mess with anything inside.

btw, i counted the turns. it's about 14.5 tunrs from right to left to the buttom.

i did notice that when i got the MBC, i could hear the ball bouncing inside when i shake it (with the knob all the way out). is that normal?

ok.... i decided to swap out the spring and put in the harder spring today just for the hell of it. tunred out.... only less than 5 turns from the lowest boost setting, it goes to over 16psi already. so now i have about 10 more turns till i hit the bottom. i guess that's the spring i was suppose to use.

none the less.. thanks for the inputs guys.

yes and how does a boost controller relate to a your trans? Should be in the General/newb or problem diagnostics.. oh well no biggie just thought it was werid that a mod hasnt noticed it and moved it thats all nothin against u.
