ok, i did some search on the forum already so. here's what's going on.

i've had my new TC, shiftkit, and end clutch done (parts bought from jon) for about 2 months now. everything's been working flawlessly. it shifts hard and can feel the shifting. but today, after i got out of a business meeting and start her up. all was usual, untill it warmed up and in the middle of driving, i started noticing a strange clicking sound while it downshifts from 2nd to 1st. at first i thought was just nothing, since sometimes the gears do make a soft clicking sound almost like it's engaging into gears. but then more and more often it start happening at almost every 2nd to 1st downshift. so now i am really worried. the more careful i listen to it, it's not one of those regular gear engaging soft click sound, but rather a two click clunk sound almost lilke something is lose. from drivers seat inside the car, it sounds like if you were to drop a marble on a table softly kind of "two" click sound. and my foot can actually feel a slight vibration when it clunks. it just cluncks like that once every downshift from 2nd to 1st and from P to D.

after listening to it more and more carefully, i am starting to suspect that maybe some bolt is lose and it's hitting against another metal.

i searched around the forum for "sound" found that some people with strange clunking sound suggest motor mount or transmission mount.

what do you guys think?

should i take it to the dealer?..... my car's somewhat modified, i am afraid they'll temper with the stuff i have under the hood. like i have the BCS top end vacume line disconnected from the intake pipe when i upgraded the intake.

Check that the converter bolts didn't loosen up. Red Lock-tite is good to put on them.

found the problem guys.

you're not gonna believe this.

so some guy told me to check the tranny mount. so in the progress of doing it, i was taking off my intake. it turned out that i spotted one of the screws on the intake mount fell off, so the frame was hitting against the wall.

thanks for the help guys, john.
