Do I need an end clutch upgrade?

Well, the other day I was crusing down the highway in overdrive when all the sudden the car dropped out of gear and would just rev up when I gave it gas. I flipped the overdrive off and it went straight into 3rd gear just fine. When I am on the highway and I flip on the overdrive, sometimes it will catch for a min and then slip out of gear a second after. Everything else about the tranny is just fine, drives just fine with the overdrive off. Have I fried the stock end clutchs? Thanks.

it isn't that hard to put in either, took me like an hour because I was just being slow and cautious, also when I was stumped I called IPT, they stayed on the phone with me until I was done with the installs and all of my questions.........

Transmission Control Unit

it's like the ECU but for the tranny, does all the thinkin ;)

It's the transmission control unit. It's located behind the ECU laying flat.

Right, but he's got to start somewhere. So pull TCU codes via the VFAQ at www.plymouthlaser.com, then start with the TCU and work from there. It's easier than guessing and spending more money than needed.

Hmm.. Probably, just keep an eye on it, and don't it for granted that it hasn't come on yet.
