Forge BOV fix

This site may earn a commission from merchant affiliate links, including eBay, Amazon, and others.

I purchased my Forge BOV about a year ago and finally did a boost leak test. Found out that it leaked like crazy from the base of the BOV where it attached to the UICP. I figured wow this is a pretty bad leak and did some searching around on the forums and found that Forge did a fix for the problem. After emailing them they sent me the new part to replace the faulty one. For anyone whose has this problem I am going to write up on how easy it was to fix.

The first thing that you must do is obvious, take out the BOV. I started the by removing the 6 bolts with a 3mm allen wrench.

Now that you have all the internals out of the BOV you can flip it over. I used a pair of small needle nose pliers to stick in two holes to remove the faulty part.

This is the new part beside the faulty part. The reason the base leaks so bad is because of the two holes that go all the way through to the o ring. The new one only goes down half way.

Now installation is just the reverse order of the removal. I have a few pics of the final installation. Just make sure when you get it all back together that you get you recirc and base lined up correctly and that your vacuum line is pointing in the correct direction. After the easy fix no boost leaks to be heard off. Hope this article helps those who have this problem.
