Powerslot Rotors on 2g FWD

The following is a step by step guide for installation of powerslot rotors on the front of a 2g car. This is a very easy mod that makes a big difference when its time to slam on those much needed brakes. I did this in about an hour and a half and ive never even attempted any type of brake job previously.

TOOLS REQUIRED:
17 mm and 15 mm sockets /ratchet
lugwrench

Ok here we go....
1. jack up the car and support properly, you can knock the lugnuts loose before lifting to make it a little easier later but dont completly remove them until the car is in the air.

2. Remove the front wheels and set aside.

3. Take out 2 bolts holding the main caliper on, these are 2 long bolts that you would normally remove if your changing pads(. 17 mm socket is used here). Mine were very stubborn so i tapped the ratchet with the factory lug wrench and they broke loose.

4. Use a piece of string or wire to hold the caliper off to the side. YOU ARE NOT DISCONNECTING ANY BRAKE LINES. there will be no need to bleed any lines later.

5. Remove the next 2 large bolts(17 mm, these may also require some persuasion!) that hold the lower part of the caliper to the support, you can also remove the brake pads at this point. throw these away as you should be replacing with a more high performance pad.

6. At this point all that left is removing the rotor. you may get lucky and just give it a tap with a hammer and she comes loose but if not use a bolt(12mm) and thread it into the holes on the rotor( 2 small threaded holes next to the lug bolts). this will pop the rotor off the hub.

7. Ok were halfway there, the hard part is over! put the new rotor on and push back onto hub as much as you can.

8. Go backwards now and reinstall the bottom part of the caliper and then the top. make sure your bolts are tight and dont forget to put in the new pads!

9. After the brake is reinstalled, put the wheel back on, stand back and admire the new rotor. they look dam good eventhough there stock size.

10.Drop the car and get in, start the car and pump the brakes a few times, this makes sure the pistons seat back down frimly, drive it around but dont be too hard on them right away you gotta break the new pads in. ENJOY!
