Apexi active silencer review
I got an apexi gt catback and downpipe on my 97 talon. With no silencer it was too loud setting off car alarms and neighbors were not very happy with me when fired up the car early in morning or came home late at night.
I put in the passive silencer but that really hurts spool and robs power especially top end power.
I finally got my new apexi active silencer installed today.They were on backorder forever.
The unit is very high quality in appearance and almost too pretty to go in a tailpipe.
It uses a spring that opens as you go wot and it keeps the car very quiet at idle and cruise. Best of both worlds in my opinion.
It installs in any apexi gt or n1 exhaust just like the passive silencer,slip in with bolt hole and can work in many other exhausts they offer two sizes of these things.
So great product. Dyno results on apexi site showed performance close to no silencer at all.
Of course for you die hard guys that worry about every little bit of power it is easily removed at the track.
