Just took a ride in my friends gsx with a 190 pump in it, without a backseat cushion. The sound really has little difference to me between the 190 and 255. At the same price, the 255 is a much better option. I have the 255 in my car, and I don't notice it too much except if I am listening for it. With the cushion on, I can not hear it.
Just wanted to say that if you are doing the fuel pump upgrade, which everyone should if there is any power mods on your car, get the 255 over the 190. You will not be disappointed.
As for the install, I bought my fuel pump kit off ebay, and I got a lot of parts and pieces with it that I didn't use. The connecter went right in, and I barely had to modify the bracket. Just used a metal nail file and took about 5-10 minutes of filing to move the hole up a bit, I would say 2mm. I still don't have the rewire done, so I dont know if that will increase the noise from the pump, but I have no worries because when the pump comes on and someone notices it, I just say my car is going to explode and its a pretty funny joke.
