Aftermarket Power Steering Cooler Install

I installed this power steering cooler because I don't want the stock one behind my FMIC when I get it.

The first picture is the materials I used. I bought the power steering/transmission cooler of ebay for about $18. I bought 5 feet of hose from Napa plus 4 hose clamps. Buy 6 feet of hose to be safe ### mine was just enough. The metal is just some steel I bought at Ace for about $3. You can see it has the first bend in it.

The next picture is of how the mounting location looked like before things began. It was mounted behind the driver's side block off in the bumper.

Undo the two bolts holding the stock power steering cooler in place. The second one is behind the driver's side headlight on the frame rail, and is a real PITA if you have AC.

Remove the black block off plate from the bumper. Here's some pics of what it looks like removed, and of the stock vs. aftermarket power steering cooler. The new one may be smaller, but it's much more efficient because of the finned design.

Here's the bracket I made. I bent it using my vise and a rubber mallet.
The second pic is of the bolt I used to mount the bracket onto. I had to cut off the nut that was welded on and use a new bolt and nut since mine were to rusted too come off.

All done and installed! Now just ziptie the lines to keep them secure and refill all the fluid you leaked on your driveway. Make a test drive and check for leaks.

This is just my experience with installing my power steering cooler. I am in no way responsible for any damage to yourself or vehicle if you decide to base your project off of my install. You may print this for your personal use.
