There is no correct order in doing this but this is the order in which I did it.

Front Bumper Removal:

1. Take the side markers out. They just pop out

2. Unscrew the Fog Lights (if you have them). There is two screws holding both screws in. Unplug them.

3. Pop the hood if have not already. Unscrew the five 10mm bolts from the where the top bumper meets the engine bay.

4. Under the bottom of the bumper, there is, I believe, six 10mm bolts that connect the front bumper to a piece of metal holding the bumper on.

5. Removing the wheels from the front will make this task easier but it is not necessary. I choose to turn the wheel to the other direction. Remove
all the plastic screws in the fender well. There is two real screws you will also need to remove the plastic fender well piece.

6. Then look at where the bumper meets the fender. There are two 10mm screws on each side holding the bumper to the fender. Unscrew them.

7. If you have a front license plate like I did. Remember to remove that too.

8. Slide the bumper off.

Headlight Removal:

1. Passenger Headlight; There is 3 10mm bolts holding this one in. One at the top, one behind the headlight and one below the headlight. This is the easier headlight to get off.

2. Driver side aka pain the ass headlight! This headlight has 4 bolts holding it in. One top (easy one to get out). The one under the headlight. Two behind it. The two behind are a PAIN IN THE ASS to get out. You will need several kinds of wrench attachments to get them out. Take your time and be patient. Maybe you will have better luck with them then I did.

3. Disconnect the harnesses from the headlights and pull them out

Headlights and Bumper back on:

1. Install the 97-99 Eclipse Headlights. I choose to leave the one pain in the ass bolt from the drivers side off and I left the lower bolt off from the passenger side too because I like to take the headlight off when I go to the track.

2 Reinstall the bumper by doing the reverse order of the front bumper removal.

3. Reattach the headlight harnesses and test to see if they work.

Sideskirts:

1. By far the easiest part of the conversion. The wheels in front of the car, there is one 10mm screw to unscrew.

2. The rest of the screws are under the sideskirt. Unscrew them all and pull. The Sideskirts pull right out. The Door caps also just pull out.

3. Snap in the new sideskirts and screw it back in. Your finished!

Rear Bumper Removal:

Note: This is the hardest part to remove, next to the passenger headlight.

1. Remove all the trunk panels. There is three of them.

2. Remove Reverse lights and license plate.

3. Remove the six 10mm nuts from the center tail, and the seven 10mm nuts from both sides of the other tail lights.

4. Pull the tail lights out

5. Remove the 10mm bolts on top of the bumper that the tail lights were covering.

6. Remove the 10mm bolts on the bottom of the bumper .

7. Remove the two 10mm bolts behind the license plate.

8. Remove the rear fender well facing the rear bumper.

9. This is where this becomes a pain in the ass. There is three 10mm bolts on each side. One you remove behind where the fender well was. The other two are in the trunk. You really have to get a flash light and look in the corners where the are located. Locate them and unscrew them.

10. Pull the bumper off!

Rear Bumper on:

Reverse order of above. When reinstalling the reverse lights, you might run into them being short. Just add some wire to the lights and install them as usual.

You are finished! Enjoy the new 97-99 body style.

I have received some emails about the broken links. The pictures are long gone. Hope the wording helps out with the conversion.

Here are some other threads on the subject that might help out:
