2G-specific Install 6 1/2 inch speakers into the rear of a 2G

Sorry no pictures.
You can place 61/2's in the back of GST & GSX's I did just the other day.
1) remove the interior body work.
2) remove 1 6x9 speaker.
3) get a piece of MDF 1/2inch thick and trace out your 6x9 onto it twice.
4) Use a jigsaw and cut out the adaptors.
5) Center the new speaker template onto the adaptors.
6) Cut out the center of the template (test fit the speaker a rough round file will smooth out any imperfections).
7) Remove the stock speaker pods.
8) Mount the adapter plate onto the pods (without the speakers in them).
9) Spray paint flat black to hide them.
10) Place the speaker onto the adaptor and mark the mounting holes.
11) Drill pilot holes for the mounting screws.
12) Solder (or crimp)on the new speaker wires.
13) Replace the interior panel and start on the other side.
