Short Throw Shifter

I just finished installing a Fidanza short throw shifter in my '90 Talon TSi AWD. After purchase, and not being able to install it, I was informed that one was not available for my car. I took a few measurements and found that it was too long (front to rear) by .274". This material needed to be removed from the front of the selector lever. After machining on my Bridgeport mill the part fit perfectly and it works great. I will prepare a drawing and photos if there is any interest but this is a very simple procedure.
