There are no yellow bulb covers, you have to scrape the orange paint off the back of the actual guage faces. That's why it isn't done more often on 1gs.
^ Yeah. There are no bulb covers on them. There is a yellow/black/white paint on the back of eash gauge. It is really hard to take off. I used a corse sand paper then went to a 400 grit paper to make it all smooth and clear and white so any color bulb can pass through. I did this and used regular white bulbs. I couldnt find any red bulbs that I wanted. Now I have the Silver Face Reverse Indiglows from procarparts.com. I got them for 25 bucks reduced.

Do you use other bulbs or the factory bulbs?
