Trouble w/ Alarm

I have an aftermarket Viper alarm on my car. The other day I pressed a button on the remote and it turned off the "chirp" to where it now arms and disarms the car silently. Does anyone know how to enable the "chirp" when I arm and disarm the alarm? I've press all the buttons in many different combinations but nothing happens. I bought the car used and it didn't come with a manual for the alarm. I've been to Viper's website which was no help.

Not sure about viper alarms, but on my alarm, I have to hold down a shift button and then press the arm button within 3 seconds to reactivate the chirp.

I have a alarm on my car that didnt work to good, when my car got bocken into this summer. But anyways my buddy with his stralth has a viper alarm that he has to hold down the button for a few seconds to get it to chearp. So full around with timing on it. And just crazy combos with the buttons. Just a thought.

Open the drivers door and press button 1, then 2, then 1 again

I have a Viper alarm and all you do is push "AUX" and it sets it so silent mode but it only does it for one push of the button then silent turns off, to permanantly have the chirp taken off you have to have the person taht installs it do it, maybe try holding aux down for a couple seconds

IF my alarm ever shows up i'll check out the manual for you. Which model number, you might be able to get a PDF document of the manual, they are usually available on the manufacturer's website.

If none of the above work, post on the security forums at www.the12volt.com. There are a lot of professional installers on there that can point you in the right direction.
