Would a stock turbo wing from 97+ Eclipses fit on a 97 Eclipse RS with a low wing?

On the topic, are these models interchangeable with any interior/exterior part? i.e. carpet, seats, etc..

Thanks

The wing fits, but there's alot of holes that need to be patched up....this is the process that usually makes this conversion extremely costly.

Pretty much everything but engine parts are interchangeable...only a few minor differences elsewhere (like guages).

My girlfriend just bought a 97 RS after her 97 GSX was totalled, and the RS has tan leather interior. She isn't a big fan of the tan, so I was wondering if I could switch everything from the GSX (black leather) into the RS? I would imagine so, then again, I don't know ;)

I haven't seen the RS yet, so I'm only going by what she told me. She said the only differences under the hood was a large gap where the T25 used to be. What else is different, part wise, etc..??

Thanks for the quick response.

um besides the suspension and engine nothing:) the interior, body panels, and everything on the car will fit, except the engine...

No, the rs uses the 420a chrysler engine, while the gsx had the 4g63 mitsubishi engine. The engine bay layouts on the 2g's were reversed between the turbo and non-turbo. The rs will have the engine on the passenger side, the gsx's is on the driver's side. Even if they were on the same side, the parts wouldn't bolt up because of the different engine codes.

You can turbo it using an aftermarket kit(HRC?) but not with the stock gsx parts

So making the RS an RS-T is out of the question? Even with aftermarket parts?

Could it handle nitrous? ;)

Ok, well I know she's not ready for all this engine work yet so I'll do alot more research. Thanks again for everybodies quick help. This has been the best DSM Forum I've ever been to.

If you took most of the turbo parts out of the GSX and put them in the RS it should work. The main thing you would need is an exhaust manifold that will fit on the 420A, which you may be able to buy as a single peice from Hahn.

wouldnt this be pretty much right guys?
