deep dish on a 1G

Can someone please tell me whats the widest wheel that i can put in my 1G and still have a 3 inch lip in the back and a 2 inch lip in the front and not sitck out of the Car ??

The specs on the wheels: 18-8 w/2" lip up front and 18-9 w/3" lip in the rear

The widest we can go is 8".

I don't think you will find a rim with a 3" lip for our cars, maybe 2 1/2. There are rims that go in at the ends to give off that "deep dish" look, I just can't remember what brand they were.
We just don't have the offset to get the "deep dish" look, like you would find on RWD cars.

If you got fender flares and a different offset, you could go wider.

i think that we 1g owners can go past "8" wheels...... i was able to use 8.5 wheels with 235s in the front and 9s in the back with 255s villans from a friends RX7 and they dirint rub od the springs

Just a FYI, but rim design and offset are the biggest factors, my rims are 18x7.5" with a 2.5-3" lip all around. There are very few rims that have deep lips for non-RWD setups, but there are a few, like Arospeed RS-GTs, a few of the Tenzo-R wheels, etc. Just take a look around, you don't need a wide wheel for a deep lip, that seems to only apply to RWD negative-offset wheels.
