I think I'm going to have my center part on my taillights painted to match the body color. But I don't know if I should have the keyhole to the trunk shaved off? Any draw backs to having it shaved?
I could still use my trunk releace lever in my car. But with my luck it would probably break off. But having it shaved would look pretty trick. ;)
What's everyones opinions on shaving the keyhole to the trunk? I want to hear pros and cons of it, so I can further make up my mind. Thanks!

i'd say shave it. makes the car look clean. and well, u can't go wrong with bein' clean. :D :thumb:

Like you said, I'd worry the release inside your car would somehow break and you'd never be able to open your trunk. Other than that though...I can't think of a reason not to do it.

i believe this is one of those things you will regret...you may not think it now but when every time you want to get into your trunk you will have to go open the door and pull the lever then walk back to the hatch, may not sound like much but will prolly end up being a pain in hte ass

just a thought

id do it if you dont daily drive your car.. its a lot like shaved door handles.. they both look good, but both get old and a pain in the ass REAL quick... show car - do it, DD- nope.

Ok, I guess I won't have the keyhole shaved. It's because I have really bad luck. Anything that can go wrong does go wrong with me. So I'll play it safe. :thumb:

I have always used my lever beside my seat to pop the trunk. My key wont work in the trunk. You could leave the actual cylinder behind the tail light and just cover over it. Then if the cable breaks you can drill down to the key hole and open it. Or just crawl into the back and pop it open. Either way you can open it. I dont think you will have problems though.
