So you changed your infinity system, help me out

I want to take off th infinity 95 GST system(amp/headunit), i have a buddy who is pretty good with wiring. How hard is it to change the system to have it amplify the speakers from the head-unit?, do i need to remove the carpet? how would i go about rewiring the speakers? do i do it right were they meet on the amp? etccc

uh why would you need to take out the carpet to wire speakers . To power your speakers from the headunit all you have to do is put in the speakers and install the headunit, thats it.

Just do everything from the new head unit. Only thing that might concern you about the amp wiring is the leads to the dash speakers.

ok, so my question is how would i rewire the speakers again so they amplify from the head-unit, since i have the inifity amp.

Just use the wiring harness from the new head unit and figure out which wires to connect to the old harness, which you have to remove. (you can crimp the wires or solder it). I hooked up the power to my head unit remember the color codes of the old wire harness is not going to match up with the new one. I cannot remember which color goes to the new harness I just figured it out by trail and error. If you really , really cannot figure the colors our I can go pull my stereo out and look for you. just pm me. The other thing is that I also had to get a new bracket to hold my head unit in place but that you can get from Radioshack for $10 I think. The old amp wires I just taped up and pushed it into the back of the dash.
