Durham,
do they make a small box to put in the back of the gsx or am i up the creek w/out a paddle

mines a FWD and Im putting 1 15" in a custom poretd box, it is actually possible to even fit 2 15's, with 2 subs 12" and up you will most likely have to point them up.

i just want room for 1 10 inch sub that all, i need a small box

unfortunately for us, we'd either have to cut out that whole part, and weld a piece of flat metal in....or eh...live with it! Im just buying a truck box and laying it flat on the hump. i dont need much bass, so it'd be ok.

it is super tight in there. I have a kenwood 10" in a ported cylindrical enclosure (yeah a 'bass tube' or whatever). I chose that because of the space issues, and for the fact that I am no car audio genius, and I can handle the install of it. It actually pounds really clean and hard. ANY WAYS.

If you remove the carpet you'll notice a sort of particleboard piece in there, and small, maybe 2"x2" sort of frame pieces that are held on by a couple screws. I removed all of these. The spare is still there, but propped up against the side and on the "hump". It stays in place though because the sub is tightly wedged as well. With everything situated like this I can even close the hatch with the cargo cover in place.

Here's a really crappy pic!
