I was wondering around how much it may cost to put on a body kit, a ball park figure:thumb: , I wanna put on the average Front Drift, drift sides and a blitz back but I also wanna put some MR2 ports on the back two side panals. And keep it stock color which is sliver. So I wanna no maybe around how much the laber would cost and materials not including bodykit and ports. The have to cut into the panels and then blend it in, so Im guessing it would cost alot.

Heres may guess

about $1000 to put the kit on
another $1000 maybe to put the ports in and blend it in ok
and maybe another $2500 for paint

SO around $4500 with labor, does this sound about right?

Thanks for your help.

geez for that money that your wasting on a ugly look, you can be running 11-12s

I'm interested in knowing what it would cost too, because my bumpers are pretty much shot. But I don't think it would cost $4500.
Though there are some ugly body kits out there, not every body kit is ugly. ;)

Not including the body kit, and having in mind that hey don't have to paint the whole car just the new pieces, it shouldn't be more than $2000 labor and everything, this is just a guess, a friend of mine had this done no to long a go on a sentra, and I believe he paid like $1200 for the installation and matching the car color (red), then again prices vary between shops... so good luck.

It really depends on how good of a paint job you get and if you're painting the entire car or not. I've heard of people paying in the neighborhood of $2k though.

Have it painted and put it on yourself. If you are not molding it on it is pretty straight forward and will save you $$$. It is only like 9 10mm bolts/nuts holding the front on and I can remember about the back but that isn't hard either. If anything at all maybe have them do your side skirts since there might be trimming and sanding. But you can basically put it on yourself once it is painted. You don't even have to take the headlights off for the front, just the side markers.

To put the kit on, mold it, put in the vents, prep, prime, and paint, your looking at any where from 2500-4000 depending on the shop doing it. This would include painting the whole car, door jams and all. I put my kit on did most of the body work, and it was 1800 to do mine. Then again mine had a couple of custom things that had to be perfected.

I just got quoted today at $1300 to install and paint a body kit! And they have cars all over the shop that they've done that stuff to and they look flawless! So the quality of the work would be great.

I paid $3200 the first time and paid $2700 the second time at the same autobody shop. The first car was rearended 6 months after it came out the shop, end of story. The second car I still own and I paid $2700 for full show quality paint job. That means they removed all dents and lineup all bodylines, custum fit and mold on the bodykit for perfect look, refill all stock wing body holes and antenna, custom paint.

I didnt paint my entire car just the kit itself and i gave them my paint code and it came out a perfect match, but my paint still looks pretty new. You don't have to repaint your entire car to have it match as long as you go with a good company that guarentees a match. As for installing the kit the front bumper is cake and i recomend doing it yourself, i swapped my kit off last month when we got snow and just put my kit back on last week it took about 2 hours. Side skirts can be sketchy but some duraglass and grinder is all you need to get them to fit, mine didnt fit when i got my kit and i am going to mold them in the spring. I dont know what your situation is but you will save alot of money doing the work yourself and it isnt as hard as you think it would be. Paint only cost me 600 and its great!

Yah that be a good idea. Hearing that people spend over 2k for a kit is a lil rediculous(IMO).
