(it also doesnt look as bad if i put a coat of wax on there but eventually it comes back after a week or so....what should i do??

Welcome to DSM paint. My '94's flat black on its whole top. Best to ask a body shop, see if they can take care of it. Or, ask an automotive paint shop in your area if they have any ideas.

well i believe if you sand it down, you can paint it with the original color then just spray some clear over it.. if that doesnt work you can always buy a used one, what color is it? if its black i got one if your interested

It may be able to put clear over the old. Check with a local shop and see what they say. Heck go to a parts store and pic up some clear for touch up paint (in spray cans) and try that. just make sure you sand it with anything 400 and smoother. Dont sand through the base, then it will have to be repainted.
