I have a 95' eagle talon tsi awd with the infinity system and i had the factory head unit with the factory amp and 6 disc changer and it sounded really descent i bought this car off family and they switched the factory head unit because the changer jammed so they put in a kenwood 50x4 and i know this should sound better then what the factory set up did but .......it doesn't the factory amp is out of the equation and the player works but the back speakers is where all the sound is comin from although the front ones do play but not like the back ones and the tweeters don't play at all i was told that it sounds quieter cause the tweeters aren't playin is this true and i was told the tweeters don't work cause they were wired to the amp and thats not there so how i do i hook the tweeters up so they play now somebody please help not having a good stereo sucks

i don't have the factory amp anymore and im just wondering if the tweeters were working if the front speakers and back ones would sound the same cause they said its because im not gettin any high or low freq and i just wanna know how to wire my tweeters to my aftermarket head unit

If they are not connected they will not have power going to them and they will not work. Connect them to a decent aftermarket amp and you should be set.

For future reference, posts are usually better received when proper punctuation and spelling are utilized. :shhh:

yes i understand that you have to have power to them to work and a aftermarket amp would work nice so would aftermarket speakers subs turbos even hittin the lottery but i wanna hook my tweeters up to my kenwood headunit becuase they are not playing which wires go to the tweeters and how i would hook them up to the unit and if this would make the front speakers sound as good as the back ones......what does puncuation and that have anything to do with cars wow

I'm no expert, but I think what you want is a crossover that will split the signal from your front speaker outputs on the deck to four signals, two for mids and lows and two for highs. Although, When I replaced my stock system it didn't matter that I disconnected the tweeters. My new front speakers sounded as good as the new rear ones.

yeah that would make sence and all do they make thes crossover thing for the back of the head units and all i know minimal about stereos. all i know is my back ones play like i think they should and it sounds like my front ones play like all bass or something because there isn't alot of vocals and stuff coming from them and they said that once the tweeters were hooked up that the frequency should be good and it should sound better then what it did before and i sounded really decent with the factory setup but since that can't be used i got the kenwood50wx4

You can buy crossovers at any car audio shop, but with the kenwood 50x4, I would buy some new front speakers that are rated at least 50 watt continous, and hook them up to the factory speaker wires, that way your tweeters will work. Or what I did eventually was cap the factory speaker wires and run my own wire directly from the Head Unit to the new speakers, thus taking the tweeters out of the equation. I really didn't even notice they were gone.
