I know some will absolutely hate this and comment on the stupidity of placing this on your airbag...well the airbag flips upward, not outward, and an industrial strength 3M adhesive tape will hold it in place till darn near the second coming of Jesus (at which point you might be meeting him first if your in this situation perhaps). And I don't care to argue those points at all.
Anyhow, I have had some extra time and made this the past couple days and thought I would share. I still need to clear coat it. Yes it is shiney now, but I still like that extra touch of clear.

Technically it is an overlay but not like the cheap stuff you see on ebay. This is all custom done using 100% real carbon or kevlar. Some parts I make though are atual replacement parts.

dude if you make those how much do you sell them for cause i need one. is it just a cover and you dont have the airbag in there. or wha... im very interested in getting one so i need info

Dragan's car...wow, I don't know really how much? He actually paid the older prices, which were higher then! Heck, sometimes it costs more to ship the part to him than it was to make. Now he is sponsored by us, but it is not how you'd think. I do not offer sponsorships that involve FREE. Being a "one man" shop and a family to feed doesn't allow for it. But I would guess in carbon fiber alone he has close to $2000 and another 500 or so in some "one off" type work...and a different carbon dash than what I normally make also.
Of course he owns a Video Game Import store and lives WELL so the funds allow it. Hell, he went with top name stuff for just about everything in the car. And it was a GS 420A now with a 4g63 engine swap. $$$$ right there.

Hey boogieman, I was wondering, I've been wanting all your interior parts for a while (especially the dash cover, that's just a stroke of genious) but on teamprototype.com I think it was, they have fiberglass door shields. Maybe you could try making one like that out of cf? just an idea:thumb:

But could it be a little more OEM looking:thumb: The front half of the armor doors are ok, but the back half is a bit too much for me. And personaly I'm not feelin the gauge pods in the door panels either.

well said, that teamprotype door panel looks a little too "qu-whees" for me. BTW I love your work. Pretty soon im gonna be purchasing almost every part you offer for the 2G eclipse and a couple one-offs as well.

Another questions I have for you is, if I make a fiberglass enclosure, can I send it to you to wrap in carbon fiber? if so, could you give me a ball park quote, it takes up the whole hatch.

leo -- nice work as usual. I agree with the door panel sugjestion, somthin differant but not to out there would be nice. in either c/f pr fiberglass. i would paint it either way personaly.

wow, everyone seems to like my door idea, so if you make some can I be a "test" car? hahaha. Seriously though, I always thought the doors would look kind of empty if the dash was all cf, and the doors were just kind of plain.

I have been asked about the Team Prototype doors before. One, I do not like them vey much with the fins...those have to go!!! Second, well I do not laminate anymore, I now am making molds of everything I have standard and then charge for the mold if it is a "one off" type deal.
I would have to take those fins/rakes off the door. Hmmmm...I am going to look at Jason's car again on my site and go to TPs web site and have another look at their doors....back in about 20 minutes....
Yeh, and of course someone has to be the donor for R&D. But look what you get out the deal. :)
Leo

I am more than happy to be a donor:thumb: haha, j/k. but seriously boogieman. I was interested in joining your team (team carbonwerks), however not for sponsorship (unless you want to of course). I consider myself to be a fairly gifted artist in graphic design, freehand drawing, and image mainipulation such as photoshop work. I will offer my skills in any way possible to help out someone who shares the same love for DSM's, and carbon fiber as I do and more so for someone who does as awesome work as you. Let me know.:D

Well after looking them over I figure it would just be easier to make my own type of mold and actually keep them more stock looking. I would have to chop the hell out of that thing to get it right...easier to make a new one. A guage area on the driver's side but not a obvious hump that would look funny if you DIDN'T put a guage there. Maybe bubble out the door speaker pod a bit but only space for one, not 2.
Probally won't be for awhile though until I do my doors, then it will be available if it works out. Right now I am concentrating on making the molds for the rear quarter window surrounds and a master mold for the dash.
