What exactly are the differences between the 95 96 body style to the 97 98 body style. Its obvious the front and rear bumbers are a little differnt. But are the headlights the same shape? Do their bodykits fit eachother. I know this sounds stupid. I have a 91 talon and want to sell it and buy a 97 or 98 eclipse but im wondering if the kits fit the 95/96 modle because their cheaper. Also does the horse change? Thx for helping me with my stupid question

i think they have the same HP and performance, and only the fron and back bumpers r diff and a few other things

horse power is the same. front and rear bumpers are different. side skirts are different. 97-99 turbo models came w/ the turbo wing, 95-96 turbo did not. some interior colors are different and the 95-96 headlights are larger and have clear housings compared to the 97-99 black housing.

Yup, other than plastic bits, 2Gs are the same all the way across. Yank the bumpers and lights (and the steering wheel cover), and you can't tell an Eagle from a Mitsubishi.... unless you know about things like the electric antenna.

If you can find you a 1995/1996 in dam good condition then you should pick it up and just do a conversion.

^^ Thats how the conversion is performed ^^

Also another car you may would like to consider is a 1997-1998 (I_think_98) eagle talon. It has a very aggressive front bumper style if you like that mean look and you can convert it to a 1999 eclipse or you can leave it with the agressive look that it already has.

As far as power and everything else basic? Apples to Apples. There the exact same basically.
