Ok...another speaker question

Ok i called crutchfield and i asked to double check on my speaker size and they said im runnin 6 1/2's all around.....i thought we ran 6x9's in the back.,...anyways is there a way for me to switch my 6 1/2's in the rear to 6x9's? because i want 6x9's in the back cuz they sound sick so can anyone tell me how i could go about doing this and how much it would cost and what i would need to do this conversion....also...what size 6x9's would fit after i did the conversion because i have heard from other ememebrs that some speakers run too deep or something so i was wondering what speakers delivers crisp highs...and some pounding distortion free crisp hitting bass.....thanks

Jeeze, take a breath.

2Gs have very shallow mounts for the rear speakers. If you don't go custom, you need to find speakers that are on the order of 2-7/8" deep. Infinity makes a Reference Series that fits, and there's an Alpine that does. Crutchfield used to list them, but had stopped last time I checked. You might try SoundDomain.

hmmmmmm....but again how would i do the conversion to put 6x9's in my rear speaker holders....cuz i thought all along i had 6x9's in there and then i found out from crutchfield that i have only 6 1/2's....so i wanted to know how much it would cost and how i would go about changin the s[peaker size or whatever

I'm pretty sure that you've got 6X9s in the back. The easiest way to tell though would be to take off the panel and check. That's the only way to know for sure.

yeah i noticed the 6.5" for the back on crutchfield, but i think they have something messed up. if you just look at the rear panel with the speakers the grill is 6x9 shape.
