Alright, couple questions...when the door opens what do you plan on doing at th edge of the dash, it doesn't look like there will be enough material? What do you have as a final plan for the airbag area? Will it still be open with the TV showing or will it be hidden?
And the last part that bugs me is where the handle area is to close the door inside (driver's side), it looks like it has a funny lip or edge. As for the over all details, can you somehow come back with a needle and pop the small bubbles and flatten them?
I am not being an a$$, just pointing out some things as constructive criticism. From one tuner to another. Just want to see ya' do the best you can, sometimes with such an overwhelming project little things get looked over....just there to help.

..looks damn good so far though. Wild colors but no worse than mine.
You should put a red kevlar armrest in there!!!:D

Thanks for the writeup... The edges arent done... as for the door jam, I have to sew the top edge, and get another strip of vinyl on. As for the TV, that excess material is being cut and getting sewn to the original dash. There isnt any bubbles anywhere, plus the top part of the vinyl still needs to be cut out, and stretched for the vents that go up there. As for the rest, it is very smooth, but I am not completely done... some people were asking me about how I managed to get the xplod grills to fit, so I posted...
But thanks for the questions dood.

o yeah, about the door panel... I havent completely finished trimming up the area where the power window buttons are....
theres 1 more screw that goes in the center that I havent put in yet..
Anyway, Is your interior painted or vinyled?
Can you send me a full sized photo to [email protected]?
Im curious to see it in full...
Thanks

ahhh, relief! Thanks for not taking it the wrong way. Actually the whole damn thing is smooth as a baby's bottom. I am only talking about there at the driver's door panel it looks like a screw under the vinyl but it could be the stocker is like that. See it right near the bottom on the blue. Kinda lines up with the other door screws. I though it was a bubble.:p
Anyhow, I figured you would obviously be finishing the edges and tucking them...I just didn't know how you were gonna tackle that dash edge. Same thing happened to me on a carbon dash cover once. By the time I covered the hump and curves I wound up short! I took an old sheet and used that as a pattern. It always seems to bunch up in that area though if you try to use one solid sheet, too many angles there. I think a nice stitch would look great!
Nah, my interior is painted but it was done really well and has not faded or peeled in 2 years. Of course now it is being all redone in black and carbon fiber. It is a big project to tackle anytime you redo an interior, glassing, paint ,or revinyl...it all is a big task.
I will mail you pic right now so check your mail in a few minutes.

Here are a few shots also. The dash was for another customer...mine is still under construction and changed a few things up also.

geeky, you gotta cut that shifter down man.;)

well some people do it for that reason i guess. they fail to realize it doesnt shorten the throw however.

cutting it down just looks better, feels better, plus touching the radio while in 1-3-5 is finally an option.

heres mine from the day i bought the car. i think i cut it down another inch or so, and that knob definately made its way to the garbage can ;)

Well,
Not including all the after market stuff, or the electronics, about 2000.
There is a lot of the vinyling that I couldnt do, and this also includes custom fabricating a lot of the interior to make my electronics fit...

First. Very nice car man! I wish I had the time and patience to do that kind fo stuff! And the money too.

Are you guys talking about just cutting your shifter arm(what ever it is) down? If you are, how did you get a shift know back on? Explain how to do this. I might do it in my Laser.

Geekyguru did you get your interior done in albama or atlanta? How much was it? And who custom dropped your 5" tv in the glove for you its tight!! I had my interior like that in my old car

Im sorry, but how can you guys think that car looks good??? Ok first, the pink dash clashes with the car, you shoulda made the dash blue, and then paint all the accesories that pink/red color. I mean unless this is a chick driving this car, its just not right. Sorry, try again.:thumbdown
Why do you think that the color is pink?
Seems kind of odd? The colors are Red and Blue.
No.. its not a chick driving the car btw.
