PLEASE HELP! CD player install q's

Hello

I just bought an Alpine CDA9805 CD player for my 1990 Eagle talon. I have a question about installing it though. How do I do this? there wasn't anything in the instruction book. Do you guys know of any tutorials?

Hey, ok u need a mounting kit, specific for ur model, then u need wiring harness, wiring adapter for the back and possible a new antenae depending on how ur setup and cd player is, its simple to do, just take out old radio, screw in mounting kit, and plug in and screw it together

OK, you DO NOT need a "mounting kit". The two metal brackets that are attached to the sides of your stock radio work fine. Just unscrew them from the stock unit, and screw them into the sides of the new deck. The holes should line up perfect. Then you need to figure out what to do with the empty space under the new radio(If you originally had a double din unit).

A wiring harness is a pretty good buy, saves you hassle on the hard wiring. Easier to steal though. If you have a Chiltons manual, it's easy to figure out what the stock colors on the wires are.

Your stock antenna will plug right into the new deck.

Hondakiller, thanks alot! That was exactly the info that I was looking for. I have access to CNC milling machine so I can mill out a really nice filler plate to take up the extra space.

I actually picked up the wiring adapter kit today.. Just thought I it would be easier then messing around with the stock set up. Thanks for the info on the antenna..
