change the shift boot

i just bought a new shift boot and havent really looked at the car on how to change it any1 here tell me if i need any tools or if it is all just clipped in? how hard it is to change i have mecahncal skills use to be a ford tech and on those the center just popped out real easy is it like that on these cars too?

You will need a phillips screwdriver and an xacto knife or any knife probly. Will need a ziptie for the top.

Yea...it's really easy, i changed my shift boot when i changed the knob, sooo simple. The center comes out pretty easy, just take a philips to the rear part ,on both sides of the center, behind the 2 front seats. The stock boot on mine was just clipped it. I had to cut the base of my boot to fit around the plastic piece that screws into the center, that was the "hard part". But overall, it took only 15 minutes for me to finish.
