I just installed an Alpine cd player and i get horrible ground noise. I can't seem to find a good grounding point and the harness doesnt have a ground either. Any suggestions?

Use whatever the stock HU was grounded to.

The stock head unit grounds through its chassis. If the Alpine has no grounding wire in its harness, run a big wire from the chassis screw to the car's frame. There may be a stud on the back of the radio for a grounding wire to bolt to.

Both of my eclipse's have had ground wires on the stock hu:confused:

Do you have amps? The problem could be that your power is near your rca cable. Seperate them as far apart as you can and this eliminates altenator whine in your speakers(if you have amps) If no do what these guys said:thumb:
