The dash piece right in front of the passenger (above the glove box) is starting to peel up from the bottom right corner on my 93 TSi and my GF's 94 Eclipse base. Since this seems to be common, is there an easy (or at least well known) fix?

I got the same problem I tried Elmers Spray Glue and had it taped exactly where it should be for 2 days and it didnt hold, if you find something that holds it down let me know mines curlin upwards above the glove box to......

no way you can make this shit hold..i tried everything and it doesnt work. The best thing to do is tear it all off and put somehting else like fiberglass of change the dash. You can change only the part with the spongy cover if you want. The dash is in 2 parts: hard plastic and the smooth jello thing. LOL

How much do you think the softer part of the dash would run? How is it affixed in the first place?

Also, what about silicone adhesive? That shit is nearly unbreakable.

There is no way you can make this shit hold !! Even with silicone adhesive it wont work...the thing is it not the adhesive that dont hold, it the foamy thing that dont glue to the adhesive. To take that part off you gotta take the whole dash out. When it out you turn it upside down and you will see there is bolt under it. I will post picture soon to help you see.

Is there a new invention to remedy this? Mine is peeling in 2 spots now and getting worse...there has to be something!!

It's not pretty but I took a screw and a fat washer and screwed it down.

yup that's the best option. thats what the previous owner of mine did and it's still not held down that well. if you wanna make it look a little better, paint the screws black or close enough grey to match the dash.
