Like guys say on this form that the DSM 1st or 2nd gen is not a ricer. WHAT my Talon is as much rice as my buddys Prelude!!! I just dont get how u can say its not a ricer.. didn't the hole DSM thing stop after 92 anyways??

Anyways whats so bad about Rice anyways??

1g's are more performance geared while 2g's are generally for ricers.

guess i should ignore the dsm badges on my 95.

rice is just terrible, i donno. dont feel like explaining to you, you just seem too stupid to understand.

DSMs are plenty capable of being riced out. I'm sure there are plenty of people who have a DSM with an intake, a catback, a bodykit, 19" rims, a giant wing, altezza taillights, and flames painted on the side of the car.

However, most people who buy DSMs buy them with the intent of getting lots of addition horsepower without having to upgrade internal engine components.

It is also possible to buy a Civic and make it fast without ricing it out. Civics just seem to be ricer specials.

I dont agreee with what you said about buying it without having to upgrade the internal engine componets....many people upgrade thier internals...

the number of people who upgrade their internals compared to the ones who dont make a very small percentage

what he was saying is the stock bottom end can go alot longer in these cars then most

2G Non Turbo's are generally for ricers. If you bought AWD Turbo your inetersted in performance or you would have bought a NT.

It's what the owner does to it that makes it considered rice

Just because you have a non turbo doesnt mean that you dont care about performance. this is so stupid. maybe some couldnt afford a turbo, or the insurance for one for that matter. mine is high for my non turbo couldnt imagine how much it would be for a turbo.

I don't mean that people don't upgrade the internal components of their engines. What I meant is that one of the most alluring things about DSMs is the fact that the stock internal components can handle serious amounts of power. Also, I said most people. There are some people who go beyond what these engines can handle, but the majority of DSM owners do not upgrade past the point of necessary internal engine modification. I don't have any statstical data to back this up, but it is true according to the setups that I have seen on this site.

You should look at this... It may do you guys some good.

Top 5 Topics that aren't cool to post in the Hangout:

1. Rice-related - photos or links to cars that you think are rice/ugly. Not cool.
2. Politics, war, religion, racism, drugs, and other offensive/controversial issues. Not cool.
3. Links to other car forums who are bashing DSMs. Not cool.
4. Porn, sex, or hot chick type threads. Not cool.
5. Bashing/complaining about other sites, shops, buyers/sellers, or people in general. Not cool. Please post any buyer/seller compaints on GoodguyBadguy.org - not here.

Thats as per ludachris, please avoid posting discussions about or concerning nothing but RICE. Its actually a topic that I wish people would seriously drop and the PERFORMANCE oriented people would leave the NON-PERFORMANCE oriented people alone and quit calling them "ricers" and other names also.

Its all still dsm's!
