I just bought a pair of:

Planet Audio P5252X fronts. (5.25")

On a scale of 1-10 how good will these be as a replacement?

Combining with my 12" JL W3 and Sony Xplod 6X9s in the back. Speakers will be powered by a Kenwood 650watt amp.

So any idea if these speakers are good or not?

There not to bad, id say about a 6. How much are you paying though. I prefer jl audio, but they're about $125 for 5 1/4. Also you want to watch about mismatching component speakers. The planetaudios may be totally different from the sonys. The reason is because one might be a metal type tweeter and the other may be a fabric type tweeter, or one may be fabric cone and the other a poly cone. Both giving a diiferent sound/sound quality off. But if your just a basic listener you may not notice the difference, but if you're a quality lister you most likely will. But you're subs were a perfect choice:thumb: .

Thanks alot guys for the useful info. I don't think I'll be able to tell the difference. The Sony is a poly cone and the Planet audio is carbon kevlar.

I hope it sounds okay, and thanks for the :thumb: on my sub!
