SAFC mount material

I would like to mount my afc in the vent and some gauges under my CD player.

What kind of material could I use to do this? Is there anything I could buy and just cut out (besides plastic) or would I have to mold it? Any input is appreciated, thanks.

Oh by the way its in a 1st gen awd.

its flat - so anything - alum/plastic/wood/what ever

cool thanks, yeah I picked up some plexiglass seems to be coming out alright, ecspecially since its my first time doing anything like it.

tip -
you can attach the plexi to the trim with bondo or epoxy or polyester ( all tho thats a tad runny ) - make the flat piece run a bit long -- scratch the shit out of the area you are going to put the bondo so it sticks to both the plexi and plastic trim.

well i would do that but then it becomes a lot harder to take that panel out. (i think its a little different in 2nd gens)

I attached the afc to the vent piece which slides out (took out all the control stuff to change direction of air and bolted the afc into the sliding piece)

Then I cut out the plexiglass to fit in the extra space and am going to make it fit a tad bigger so it keeps itself in there and I can take it out if necesary.

Think I need to cut the plexi glass again cause there is so room around the edges still. Its really hard to cut it evenly.
