Blitz sideskirts....

Is anyone other than myself having trouble fitting the blitz sideskirts on good.....i want to put them on but the sideskirt doesn't go all the way to my door (the back vent part of the sideskirt)....any ideas? please post if u've have this problem and what did u do about it?

Hello, and welcome to the world of BODY KITS>

This is probably 90 % true for all body kits, in that they need to be fitted correctly before they can be painted and installed. I highly recommend a body shop do the work for you, unless you are experienced in working with fiberglass. It can be an expensive job, but you will be happy about the investment later (when the kit fits)

hey i had the same problem. The guy that put it on for me dented the side panel where the vent goes. Once he dented the side skirt fill good.

which ones do you have the high or low style. I did a lot of sanding and gave it up for the reason being that I did not want to break them. Funny thing, I finally took it to a place that installs them, and all they did is force them on. The guy told me that the sanding helped and in time and hot summers should shape and perm the fiberglass to its present shape. looked fine to me.

Fiberglass is very durable and flexible don't be paranoid about breaking them but be careful and sand sand sand. I notice that when installed two guys held each end, greatly encourage to to gey a buddy and save 50 bucks. Check em.

Body work is expensive. If you want to do it right, go to a good body shop that has experience with fiberglass and have them fit and install the whole kit. Then respray your whole car so that it will all match. The place I got it done even granted my request to custom make splash guards to fit the kit so that my fenderwells still appear stock. Basically it looks like the kit came from the factory. Most people go cheap but this is what I did, and you can see the results in my gallery.

Thanks for all the reply's guys. they're going to help me out. Also, ya'll have some nice cars...mines white also and im jellious! Anyways, Advan how much did they dint on your side pannel? Just where the vent part was or as high as the skirt goes up? thanks again, john

I had to do a lot of modfication to make my blitz sides work. The invader sides went on no problem. I ended up having to mold them in to make them fit right. Looks good though. I like the molded look better than the way I put the invader's on. If you need any help with the install just pm me or post. I screw with a lot of fiberglass. Don't be afraid to cut them to make them fit!!!

just where the vent was. this is for the low version biltz. mines is the buddy club but looks the same.
