Ever since I got my 1995 eclipse about a year ago, my passenger side headlight has been foggy. Now its not condinsation because it seems its not really on the inside. Its more on the outside because if you use windex or water, it unfogs the headlight. But after about 30 seconds, the entire headlight is fogged up again. Water and windex seem like the only things that will unclog it because it doesn't rub off if you use your finger. This seems to be very odd and I have no idea what it could be. Does anyone know of an easy way to fix this or am I going to have to buy a new passenger side headlight?

My '96 has the same issue with the driver-side headlight. In my case the "fogging up" of the light is actually oxidations that has deteriorated the lense. When you wet it or clean it, the "clearing" up you see is actually just the moisture absorbing into the rough surface of the oxidized lense. Once it dries you have the same issue again. I did this and it helped alot:

Wax the headlight with a very fine grit wax (can get from Wal-Mart or auto shop). It will say on the bottle that you can use it for glass, etc. Apply the wax, not in a circular motion, but in a motion parallel to the ground. Do this three or for times in a row.

Re-wax about once every two months. In between waxes, I use 'Invisible Glass' cleaner (WHICH IS AWESOME FOR ANY GLASS BY THE WAY:thumb: ) to keep the oxidation low.

I have been doing this for 4 months and the light looks great. The girl who owned it before me drilled holes in the top of each light install strobes so I will eventually replace it but not now. I priced out a new light & it was $230.00 - I about crapped in my pants. I will just save money and buy some after-markets for $200-$300 for the pair and replace both.

Hope this helps!
