I am changing my rims I have 235/40/17 now but would lil to go up to 235/30/19 to fill in the gap. Would the rub against the front shock? any one out there have them?. Here is what I have now.

IMO, 19's are too big for 1G's....you might fill in the wheel gap, but you won't be able to lower the car enough for it to look good.

225/35/19 and you're good to go. Nothing wider than 19x8.

235/30/19 will make your speedo over 3% off. 235/35/19 will be better suited for you. That is assuming your current tires are properly sized (which they are not, you should have run 245/40/17).

As long as the width of the tire doesn't cause rubbing issues then you can run any dia rims as long as the circumference CLOSELY matches OEM. Now if you don't mind having your speedo read incorrectly then what I have just told you doesn't matter.

No problem.

Do me a favor. Can you give me the original tire size that your car came with?
