Sup everyone...

My wife and I bought a 2003 gts a month ago... <its her car, but My 95 is still better>
Anyway...
The dealer told us they are redoing the 2005/2006 model to be more like the 2g eclipse..
This also includes awd, 4 cyl. and more compact styling...
Anyway, I have looked everywhere.,.. and havent come up with any pics.
Please post any pics, or details on this subject!
Thanks

OMG yes!

i heard rumors about that too, but so far all ive concluded is rumors

well they need to. The plastic junk that is the 3G is horrible. They need to drop the new style and go back to their roots. IMO

yea they need to go back to The Panty Droppin 2g. Yea Bring back the panty dropper's. Chanting: Panty Dropper's Panty Dropper's. Yea

Let's hope the rumors are true, although I don't see much reason to offer both the eclipse and the evo.

cavy is discontinued after this year heh.. bering replaced by the cobalt or some crap...

Maybe it'll look like this?

that WAS the concept car for the 3g eclipse, I think they definatley need to get back to the badass sportscar look and get out of the whole four door econo-box sedan look that everyone is doing now.

I'd be happy if the 4g looked like the concept 3g.

the pictures were already posted at caranddriver.com. car is ugly as hell. looks like a grand-am. but hell, if its awd turbo ill get one

if you go see the new glant on the caranddriver site, thst is what the front of teh eclipse will look like

Here's the first picture of Mitsubishi's next Eclipse, codenamed PS24S. The new coupe looks to be larger, featuring many of Mitsubishi's latest styling cues. No word on whether or not the sporty Mitsu will continue to offer both four- and six-cylinder powerplants, or if it will return to turbocharged four-bangers.

The new Eclipse is based on the all-new Galant platform, and is expected to arrive late in the 2005 model year, or possibly for 2006.

If that's a chassis mule, it's likely they threw a bumper off some other car on it, and of course those boxes are fakes. Interesting that the covering on the rear obscures the area of the roof where the concept has that.... well, whatever that is.

god, I could sure do without those side strakes, though.... and that plecostomus mouth doesn't really blow up my dress, either.

i expect only bad things from the eclipse. it only gets worse every gen.

I agree. Witness the latest iteration of the Galant.:barf: What's going on with the designers at Mitsubishi? If they want to make unique designs, at least make aesthetically pleasing ones. I don't see why that could be so difficult.

ive seen a "concept pic" of it... supposedly... looked like those shitty gran ams with the ram air hoods.. was under a cloth.

Dear Mitsubishi,

Please quit attaching the beloved "Eclipse" name to all of your new sporty compact vomit machines.

Thank you,
Misundaztood.

I thought Mitsu. was getting rid of the Eclipse and was going to make another line and call it the Tarmac or something:confused: But hey even if that is the 4G Eclipse pic up there it still looks fugly from what I can see, hopefully they can do something to make up for the failure of the 3G

3g;s wouldent be so bad if someone put a hump in the hood removed all ripples and put a 4g63t in it heh.. and the sad thing is tho i would choose a 1g or a 2g over it anyday (even if it was a 2 tone pos) :thumb:

You guys have to rememeber that mitsubishi is marketing to everyone to everyone and not just us dsmtuners. Although we may like the 1g and 2g's merely for power purposes, general opinions of the 3g across all age and social groups in the US are that it is much more asthetically pleasing than the 2g and 1g's. Think about it, if the 3g's were turbo'd and had as much potential as previous gens we would probably say it looks fine. As such, the designers are trying to cater to a much broader audience, and make more sales overall. The 3g, as far as sales, had proven to be much more popular then the 2g's and numbers are nearly double what they are for the 2g's. Us as hardcore dsm drivers/tuners, base our opinions on power/speed. i.e. if it's fast and makes power, it's beautiful, but not everyone thinks like us.... :dsm: :thumb:
