whats a good paint/method to use on painting parts underneeth the car?

well im going to start replacing all my super rusted out suspension parts and buying new/used ones w/ little or no rust. so my question is what is a good paint brand/type and a method(sand first/between coats etc) to use for painting them to save them from the super salty roads my town has in winter.

i mean something reasonable anodizing is crap for durability.

and not something thats going to cost me over $1000 to do all the parts either... heh
