You will mount them to the same spot as the rear seat belts are mounted...under the rear seat.
Of course you'll lose the rear seat belts...but no big deal since no one sits back there. I crossed my harnesses in an "X" going from the back to the front. The side harnesses bolted where the old lap belt spot were. That make sense?

I was going to mount mine like boogieman suggested, but I read somewhere that the shoulder belts shouldn't be more than a certain angle. I don't remember where I read this. I think its racing related. I'm still in the process of mounting the shoulder straps. I'll let you guys know what I figure out. Does anyone know what I'm talking about as far as the angles go? Any racers out there mount there harnesses without a cage?

i heard some people strap the back onto there rear strut(sp?) bar or sumthin, i saw pics in another thread

The shoulder harnesses aren't supposed to be greater than a 45 degree angle from horizontal from where they leave the seat back. Bolting to the rear seat-belt locations is about borderline... but I do it, hehe. There really isn't an alternative. On the outside one I have it exit around the seat, and the inside I have come through the hole used for the stock seat-belt lock.

I'd like to get a harness bar made to mount between the c-pillars but I haven't gotten around to it.

If you have an anti-sub belt, you'll just need to have a hole drilled and use a nut/bolt to hold the mount for the belt.

The outside lap belt point can mount to the stock location, while leaving the stock belt in place. The inside, that depends on your seat. My seat mounting bracket included a point for me to bolt my lap belt to. You might be able to have it mount to the point used for the base next to the console in the rear.

TsiAWD666,
Where did you get your info on the 45 degrees. Was that rules for a racing league, standard knowledge, etc. ? I was just wondering. When I didn't have my back seat in I did use the rear seat belt locations, but once the rear seat went back in it took most of the slack and put the belts at what seemed to be wierd angles. I'll let you know what I come up with. I might do a harness bar, but I don't know yet. Later.

I think Road Race or www.subesports.com has a diagram on it. I could be wrong though.
I mounted mine to the bolts under the rear seat cause unless you have a roll cage i don't see how else to do it. I dunno'.

I believe it was in the SCCA competition guidelines, but it's been a while since I read up. I do remember seeing the same 45 degree requirement in multiple sources (i.e. multiple racing organizations). Anyway, I understand the basis for this is to minimize the risk of spinal compression in an accident. The concern is that the belt will cause your spine to compress at certain angles, and I guess it's generally agreed that beyond 45 degrees the downward force on your spine is too great.

Wish I could point you to a specific online resource, but since I'm hoping to do SCCA competition in the future, I'll be going by their rules :)
