I have some questions for you people that have done carbon fiber. What type of mat and resin is best to use to cover interior panels? I want to maybe do them in the blue kevlar style. I want to know how do you go about smoothing the resin out for a mirror finish? Also any tips/tricks that are helpful. Also what it run to do all the panels in my 2g? (door panels, rear panels beside seat, ones around the little windows and the ones around the back window) I know the carbonwerks makes the rest and plan to buy from them. I know Leo might be interested in making these parts, so please help!

Well of course I nver turn down $$$...but if you really want to learn and try yourself go to www.fiberglast.com and check out the forum there for help and tips. There is a tech section there also. You will probally get some answers there really quick from guys with lots of composite experience.

...for the record, I always use epoxy resin....more $$$ but worth it. For carbon you can go with a few different weaves and weights. Just depends on your wants and needs.
check that site out, it's good

I let it go. I am currently working on a new web site that shows all the work and vehicles that I cater to. A lot of folks think I am just DSM only. Anyhow, since I am no web master and that web site needed one I figured I would just transfer the domain name and start over on a new site that could control myself with easier web tools. Unfortunately I do not know how to do HTML but this new page builder seems somewhat easy :)
But thanks for the heads up anyhow, some folks will wonder what the hell happened but it will be back up in a couple weeks and much better. I can still take orders thru email or phone....just hurts while I am down...but I can also get caught up in the shop too.
