wiring subs to stock radio

anyone kno if i can wire my subs to my stock radio? i have a amp and subs and is a 99 RS. i was curious seeing as the money for a New CD player is sittin to well, is it possibal to run them to the stock radio? ide erally appreciate the help

Three ways to do this:

First, you need pre-amp outputs on your stock unit... I don't think that they came with that feature. If you did, then you would use RCA cables to run from your head unit to your sub amp.


OR... you can use the line level inputs on your amp if you have them. This means running speaker wire from your speaker outputs to your sub amp, where the amp will filter out the highs and keep the lows to go to your sub.

OR... there is a line level to RCA adapter you can use that would make it alot simpler... THAT would be the route I would take.

Any stereo installation shop will sell these, and give you pointers on how to do it.

yea go to your local car audio shop and buy a "step down" this give your factroy deck a set of reca jacks .you hook the step down to you rear speakers behind the deck ,so if do get a new stero you already have your rca jacks ran.
