Hey guys,
is anyone running one of these?

I wnt to a muffler shop yesterday and picked up one( by hand) and it's incedibly light. Has anyone had any experience with these? performance? sound?

thanks

who made it? I had a BOZZ speed titanium exhast system on my old turbo integra. It was $1600 dollars. The performance was outstanding. Sound is not much different then any other muffler.

i don't remember the make but the muffler was like $200 bucks

How can a muffler cost 1600 dollars. And how can it actually have performance gains WORTH 1600 dollars. This really confuses me. If you want a lighter muffler and great performance gains, remove your exhaust when you go to the track. :D You may save what, 15 lbs at the most from a titanium muffler? For the price difference you can easily find another mod that will more than make up for the weight difference with sheer horsepower. Most turbo setups dont even cost 1600 dollars.

It was the best..... I only bought the best for that car. Top Fuel turbo kit made the exhaust price look like pocket change.

;) Show me the word "muffler" in his statement.

I don't care if it was a muffler, exhaust system, or a complimentary blowjob from a little asian girl, it's not worth 1600 dollars.

Why spend that much? It was probably 10 pounds lighter, tops. I can save you ten pounds for free.

It's not like a Ti system flows any better than a good SS system, which is half the price, or a good homemade SS system, which is like 1/8th the price.

Just pointing it out. I personally wouldn't spend that much on exhaust.

What ever.... Thats what it cost.... I had the money and i spent it. Your rational is like saying why buy $100 shoes when you can go to payless and get a pair for $10. You get what you pay for. buy wine or grape juice

Lando, I see now that it was the whole exhaust system, but had you quoted his ENTIRE post you would realize his next sentance mentioned the MUFFLER in question. Moot point anyways, KPT is right it's not worth 1600 dollars, and the analogy between shoes doesnt work. Simply because 100 dollar shoes fit and feel better than payless shoes but a 1600 dollar titanium exhaust doesnt do anything better than a cheaper SS exhaust except save a few pounds.

It will save several pounds, but truthfully it is only to be used on cars that have had the other forms of weight reduction performed. Otherwise this will only impress the ricers at the track, "wow dude, that's phat, you know you mean business when you have a titanium exhaust". If you have a full drag car use a short exhaust. Does Pruven, Buschur, Shepherd etc. use it? No. Use what your friends are using an forget the unnecessary stuff.

And by the way Motumbo played competetive basketball with cheap ass shoes, not Nikes and some multimillion dollar contract.

OK then, but too many people today are buying stuff for a coolness factor, instead of its intended purpose. But titanium still is reserved for the relatively few cars.

buy some ralli//art shit and tell me how much it cost. I know the SS sport *muffler* is $780.

Is this post about mufflers or telling other people how to spend their money. Who gives a fock, he worked for the money, if he wants to buy a $10,000 set of spark plug wires let him. Its his check book.

Now, can we get on topic.

jeff

I can not believe how much you guys care that some other guy spent 1600 dollars on an exhaust system. Who cares...it doesn't matter. A normal stainless steal 3" turbo back is about 8-900 right now there are some specials going on and I realize that but I'm saying normally...then if you get an O2Eliminator turbo back its about 9-1000...so this guy bought something relatively custom for his car...maybe it was the full exhaust with O2 Eliminator...to me thats not that bad for the whole thing being titanium...plus he road raced the car so that extra 20lbs he saved did help him. Stop hating and stop raging on things that don't effect your life.

Anyway know I will get to topic. 200 for a muffler is pretty pricy and no your not going to feel much difference in performance bro...you need the exhaust piping, thats where you will gain more power...its in the air flow through your restrictive stock piping...not as much the muffler.

well the muffler goes for about $130-200, that's the only titanium piece i would buy, and with DSM's you need as much weight reduction as you can :)

go rip a stock exhaust off a z06, its all titanium. im sure you can find a stock muffler off a z06 on ebay or something.
