Does anyone know if I have to do any modifications to make it fit correctly? Are the support braces in the same position?? Anyone with any info on it plz respond. Thanks.

You really should use the search function. All you need to do the swap is the 97+ head lights and bumper.

I believe someone posted a tech article on the conversion. I haven't read it for accuracy, but at first glance it seemed like it covered a lot of it (left out the spoiler, middle brakelight, fogs at least). Just do some research for yourself.

Oh man, can you believe it? The tech article on the complete conversion covers the front end too!! Imagine that!

I converted my 95 talon to a 97 Tsi...and the bumper lined right up. only problem was that the old fog ight housings were kinda hanging there...but i cut them out. its that easy man.

i was going to switch front ends, but then it just seemed like everyone is doing it, so im not

Heh, I did it after an accident that involved repaint 3/4 of the car, and replacing the bumper and sideskirts. Thanks to insurance estimating costs for parts much higher than what I could get them for, it didn't cost me anything to (err, other than higher insurance payments later haha doh!) to get the car converted to an eclipse and fully repainted. Too bad that I totalled that car 2 1/2 years later :) Double doh!

on a talon you don't have to switch headlights. they are exactly the same. while its off, you might want to take out the black plastic airflow thing in the mouth and switch that or the older style foglights wont fit (guess who just found out he has to take both bumers off again:mad: )

oh yeah and if you guys didn't know, I was refering to a 97 Talon bumper not an Eclipse, I'm aware that you need the 97-99 headlights if you were doing an 97-99 Eclipse front end conversion in order to have it fit correctly but it is not required.

actually as far as anything i have seen (like when i did the swap on my car and double check it) the headlights on all the talons are exactly the same. it will fit exactly the same with either set of headlights.
