Ok i need ideas or places/people who sell gauge pods other than pillar.
I am interested in something that holds 2 gauges and a greddy TT if possible.

Also what materials and where do i get materials for fiberglassing?

Thanks

for fiberglassing you need:

fiberglass resin
fiberglass haredener
fiberglass matting/cloth
spreaders
rubber/latex gloves
auto body filler/bondo
mask
medium, fine, and veryfine sandpaper
scale

1. Have to have a basic idea of what you plan on making
2. For larger stuff, use plywood or mdf to make a "skeleton", if your making something small just use cardboard something else that will stay rigid while laying the fiberglass down.
3. Mix fiberglass resin and hardener. For every ounce of resin used, add about 7 drops of hardener. If you mix the right amount, you will have about 5 minutes before the fiberglass will start to set and harden.
4. Once you have the fiberglass mixed, you need to spread it over the fiberglass matting. Its easiest to cut thin strips, cover them in fiberglass and lay them where you want
5. Add however many layers you need to so it will be solid
6. Mix auto body filler/bondo. again you need the filler and the hardener. For every golf bal sized amound, add about an inch and 1/4 of hardener, and mix till the bondo is a pinkish color and spread over the fiberglass.
7. Once dried, use a high grit sandpaper (80) or so and sand to the shape you want.
8. Next use a higher grit sandpaper and keep going higher and higher till you get to bout 200 grit and it becomes very smooth
9. Fit in whatever your molding, eithe gauges, timers or anything else.
10. primer, sand, and paint.

theres my mini guide to fiberglassing, haha

Once you do a few things with fiberglass it gets way easier. You just need a feel for it

thanks a lot
do you know where i could get all of this things?
so i get bondo filler and bondo hardener right?

So i cut strips of fiberglass mating and lay it over the matting and then cover it with fiberglass and lay it on my mold?
Is there any other way of applying the fiberglass to the mold?

thanks a lot

i dip the fiberglass matting in the misture then lay it out..

Hey whats up?

As far as I can remember they didn't have a home depot in PR ( At least not in Fajardo, Ceiba and Naguabo). But, they sure did have a PepBoys. Thats where you can find what you need unless theres a Home Depot.
Good Luck.....
