I still have my 95 GSX parts car w/a sunroof, and my other early build 95 gsx doesn't possible to add one to mine from the donor car, or will i basically have to swap the roofs?

Anybody done it?

and yes i know with enough money you can do anything.

I've not seen one opened up with the glass off and the headliner out- take your donor apart and see how it looks. It shouldn't take a whole roof, just a roof hole. And a good metal finisher to be able to get the installation look right.

that's what i was thinking, i was just wondering structurally would it be feasible, or would i lose the ridgidity of my body.

There isn't a headliner, and i can see the sunroof completely. I know for the most part that cars generally in the same family share the same wiring harnesses. I have to take a look at mine, and compare it to the donor car.

Putting in the draintubes seems like it would be hard. Everything else should go okay if the non-sunroof model has the right boltholes (I'm not sure that it does, but I haven't looked).

You should be able to. People have after market ones put in all the time. It would all just be in the quality of the install that i would be worried abot personally. My friend has one on his cobra that the original owner put on and it doesnt leak or anything but on the freeway it whistles pretty badly.

It can be done....but its a lot of work. I would find a highly respected body shop to do it. The first time I tried something like that, I got carried away with the welder. Warped the shit out of the body.

I'm gonna start looking around for a good custom bodyshop to do the cutting on the donor car, so that they don't have to work with something i hacked apart.

I'm thinking at least a grand. w/paint.
