fiberglassing tomorrow...

i will be fiberglassing sideskirts tomorrow and i was wondering if anyone had any advice, i decited to do this instead of using micro lite body filler, i was also wondering i that was the right choice, any advice is welcome, thanks

if you are talking about molding them in, grind off all paint and get it rough so it will stick. or else it will crack.

The sun is hitting one projector and not the other. The headlight is fine. I need to get a better pic. Thanx though

All I can say is get a really good mask.. one with canisters and seals to your face... The fiberglass resin mixed with the hardner is probably the smelly'est shiet that I have ever smelled. Plus it is really toxic and kills brain cells.

Make sure you have a well ventilated area and when you are sanding, wear that mask, the fiberglass dust can cause "itchy lung" if you breath that crap in.

And for sure, wear gloves, when the hardener gets in the resin it gets REALLY CHEMICALLY HOT... and is not good for skin..

Make sure you mix the right amount of hardener into the fiberglass and work fairly quickly because you don't want it setting up on you.

And be prepared to sand your little heart out when you are done..

I'm not trying to discourage you at all, it just takes patience and safety always comes first.
